Studio Bryony Ella

Imaginal Cells

As an evolving project involving numerous collaborations, The Colour of Transformation explores embodied storytelling as an invitation into intimate journeys of personal change, creating space and time for self-reflection in light of the ecological crisis. It was created by and for those whose perspectives are largely marginalised in climate and ecosystem policy discussions.

In 2024, commissioned by Digital Black Dance Ecologies, Bryony Ella created a digital artwork integrating dance and cutting edge technology with designers Milkit Studio and choreographer Antoine Marc. This furthered interdisciplinary explorations of how embodied storytelling can articulate internal processes of personal change, and was supported by AHRC. The resulting work was premiered at the Royal Geographical Society and has since toured nationally and internationally.
